Following on from a previous post about winter pressures, the inspiration for this infographic came from an article by Daily Mail Health Editor Kate Pickles, who had some rather scary statistics in her front-page discussion on the subject on 14th November 2022.
Every year, hospitals are pushed further to the limit, creating a challenging working environment for staff, and affecting patient care. For older people, prolonged hospital stays can be very detrimental to their wellbeing, and these are more likely to occur in the winter due to an equally busy social care system.
Trying to avoid hospital is important, hopefully the infographic below goes a little way to explaining the challenges faced by hospitals, by patients, and by the social care system.

Some of our quality products can help people stay away from hospitals, including Jelly Drops water sweets and weighted blankets. Sleep well, stay hydrated, and more importantly stay away from hospital!
