The new online shop will be focussed on providing weighted blankets and other sensory products to older people, including those living with dementia.

Weighted blankets can be used for those living with Alzheimer’s disease and have proven to help people with the disease to sleep better. Providing better sleep to someone with dementia can also mean a more restful night for the carer, reducing the risk of carer burnout.

How they work - the 7-layer technology using eco-friendly, evenly spaced glass beads that weigh upon the body’s receptors encourages the release of melatonin and serotonin, helping us to drift off into a good night sleep more easily. The 100% cotton fabric is breathable, and machine washable at 30 degrees.
